contra as injustiças, mudar de políticas

A greve geral de 24 de Novembro é uma indispensável manifestação de indignação colectiva contra as injustiças e imposições governamentais, com o apoio da direita e do poder económico e financeiro dominante. A mudança de políticas é uma exigência do presente e garantia de futuro.
A greve geral é contra:
-- as medidas ditas de austeridade;
-- os cortes nos salários dos trabalhadores da aministração pública e das empresas públicas e redução generalizada do poder de compra dos salários de todos os trabalhadores;
-- o agravamento do custo de vida;
-- as práticas patronais de ataque aos direitos dos trabalhadores;
-- o bloqueio da negociação colectiva;
-- os cortes na protecção social, congelamento das pensões de 3,5 milhões de pensionistas e a diminuição ou eliminação de abonos de família a cerca de 1,5 milhões de crianças e jovens;
-- o empobrecimento dos trabalhadores e da população e o aumento das desigualdades.

A GREVE GERAL É POR EMPREGO DIGNO, SALÁRIOS JUSTOS, PROTECÇÃO SOCIAL!

A greve geral é:
-- pelo investimento no sector produtivo;
-- pela criação de emprego de qualidade, com direitos, e pelo combate à precariedade;
-- pelo salário mínimo de 500,00 € em 1 de Janeiro de 2011;
-- pelo aumento dos salários;
-- pela efectivação do direito de negociação e pela contratação colectiva;
-- pela melhoria da protecção social;
-- por serviços públicos de qualidade;
-- Pela exigência de combate à economia paralela, à fraude e evasão fiscais, aos paraísos fiscais e pela tributação das grandes fortunas, dos valores das transacções em bolsa e dos produtos de luxo.

São muitas e diversificadas as adesões já anunciadas à greve geral, pelo que se prevê uma grande paralisação no dia 24.
A CGTP-IN insere esta luta num contexto nacional, europeu e global em que é urgente dar uma resposta forte dos trabalhadores às medidas anti-sociais que, a pretexto da actual crise, o grande patronato e a maioria dos governos tentam impor aos trabalhadores e às camadas mais desfavorecidas, fazendo-os pagar uma crise pela qual não são responsáveis, enquanto grandes grupos económicos e financeiros continuam a acumular lucros escandalosos.

É uma greve geral contra as injustiças e a exploração e p0r novas políticas, por mais e melhor emprego e protecção social, desenvolvimento e justiça económica e social.

GENERAL STRIKE – 24 NOVEMBER 2010

AGAINST INJUSTICES, FOR A CHANGE of POLICIES

The 24th November general strike is an indispensable expression of collective indignation against the government’s injustices and impositions, with the support of the right wing and of the ruling economic and financial power. A change of policies is a demand of the present and a warranty for the future.

The General Strike is Against:

-- The so-called austerity measures;

-- The cuts in wages of public Administration workers and workers from public enterprises and the general loss of purchasing power of all workers;

-- The rise in the cost of living;

-- The employer attacks on workers rights;

-- the blockade of collective bargaining;

-- the cuts in social protection, freezing of pensions for 3.5 million pensioners and cuts or elimination of children’s allowances for 1.5 million children and youngsters;

-- Workers and people’s empoverishment and growing inequalities.

THE GENERAL STRIKE IS FOR ALTERNATIVE POLICIES! IT IS IN FAVOUR OF DEVELOPMENT!

THE GENERAL STRIKE IS FOR DECENT WORK; FAIR WAGES; SOCIAL PROTECTION!

The General Strike is:

-- for investment in the productive fabric;

-- for the creation of jobs with quality and rights, and for the fight against casual work;

-- For a statutory minimum wage of 500,00 € in January 2011;

-- for higher salaries;

-- for the implementation of the right to collective bargaining;

-- For better social protection;

-- For quality public services;

-- for the demand of fighting underground economy, fraud and tax evasion, tax havens and for taxes on large fortunes and on stock market operations, as well as on luxury goods.

The number of workers and unions joining the strike is very large and diverse; therefore we anticipate a very powerful stoppage on the 24th.

The CGTP-IN considers this struggle as inserted in the national, European and international context in which it is urgent to give a strong workers’ response to the anti-social measures that, under the pretext of the current crisis, big employers and most of the governments are trying to impose on the workers and on the poorer layers of society, making them pay for a crisis of which they are not responsible, while big economic and financial groups keep accumulating outrageous profits.

It is a general strike against injustices and exploitation and for new policies, for more and better jobs and social protection, development and social and economic justice.
